This page is a little texty too, but explanatory small-talk is a good thing. =)

Also if you haven't noticed, I LOVE making those light-orbs. (I haven't got a better name for them yet) They were heavily inspired by the old-school touch-lamps.

I use a modeling program for the majority of the backgrounds, save items interacted with regularly, like cups, books, chairs and props like that, and use textures I draw by hand, or photograph myself. This saves time for me, and keeps the backgrounds consistent from frame to frame.

The starkness is quite by purpose. It's primarily to convey the idea that although the students have access to knowledge and learning resources at their disposal; they themselves live very frugally. =) Thanks for commenting, and have a nice day!

nice job with all the detail in panel 1. though it makes the other feel a bit barren. are you drawing all of it by hand copping, coping some, or using a molding program?
